It counts, right?

My kid has decided that he doesn't like plain (salted) veggies anymore. I've gotten creative but want to keep offering veggies plain as well. I put green beans, carrots, peas and corn in his snack holder and he is currently walking around putting handfuls of the veggies in his mouth, chewing them to mush, then spitting them out for the dog to eat. I'm counting it as getting some veggies today.

  • I have no idea if this is true but I'd like to think good nutrients are like sugar - you can absorb them through being in your mouth :P

  • Have you tried coating them in crushed Cheerios, crushed puffs, or Parm cheese? That was the only way I could get Ds to eat his veggies when he was 2.

  • I had a turkey sandwich for lunch today and thought to myself: wish I had some Cheetos. It'd be a whole lot cooler if I did @mrsasmitty
