GTKY: Your home

2»

Re: GTKY: Your home

  • We just bought a 65 year old three bedroom home this year. We did renovations inside (bathroom, kitchen) to its 50s interior. This house was seriously frozen in time. Next is the siding which is currently a lovely mix of vinyl and aluminum, and our awful 2 cement strips of a driveway. Don't be jealous :)

This picture is all I have, and it cracks me up. It was taken the day we got a new washer/drier and my bro was picking up our old ones. The lawn is still awfulart this point and I know our neighbors spent a few hours going, uh-oh, what do we have here. ..

  • Both. We own a house (hopefully not much longer, it's under contract!) in Colorado that never sold when we moved 6 years ago. It's a typical 'burbs house, 2-1/2 story, 3 bd/2ba. Nothing special but a beautiful view of the mountains.

We live in a house which we rent Again, a typical suburban house (meaning, it isn't colonial, chalet, etc style), ranch style with 3 bd, 2 ba and 2 car garage. The best part is that it is directly across the street from a nice walking path in which we can go let our dogs run. Once we sell the CO house, we will look into buying somewhere out here but that will be late 2014.

  • We own our house. 4bedrooms 4 bathrooms 2400 sq ft. We love our home and get tons of natural light and have a huge backyard (huge for where we live). Years ago we bought a condo in the city with the intent to rent it out. Now that its ready we may keep it and use it as a weekend place for when we are in the city. It's not quite the 'cottage' I had hoped for but a home away from home is always nice to have.

We own a 3 bedroom, 2 and a half bath home. 2 stories, no basement. 2100 sq ft. Brick exterior all around on the first floor, siding on the second. We've been here 5 and a half years and have completely renovated the master bath, put all new carpet in upstairs, laminate flooring downstairs, and painted almost every room. In not fun homeowner stuff, we've also replaced the furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, and water softener - all in less than 2 years time. That was super fun.

  • We own a little town house :) We love it. I look forwards to moving into something bigger eventually, but if we stayed here forever, I'd be okay with that too. I love my house and our neighbourhood.

  • We moved in our new home at the beginning of August! :)
Victorian colonial...technically 4bdrms but really 3, 2 1/2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, nice big kitchen, dining room, bonus room above our 2 car garage, inground pool....in love!
I've actually dreamed of living in this exact house for as long as I can remember!
  • Such a fun GTKY! We just moved into this house 6 weeks ago so I love to AW it  :D

6 beds/5 bath, 4700 sq. ft., own, and kitchen will eventually be renovated (put on hold due to twins) current updates are just paint and some additional molding.

We have a Christmas tree room too!!! Our house is known for the Christmas display the past owners have done...we've already been approached about keeping the tradition going. Big shoes to fill!!!

  • Guess I'm the only poor person around here. We own a 3 BR 1 bath, house. It has a sunroom but needs a little bit of fixing up.
  • We own a 3bed1bath adorable ranch. We've lived here 8 years and I love it.
