This week has been so hard. Quinnlyn hit her 3 week growth spurt and its been 3 days of little sleep. Tomorrow she turns one month old. I'm overjoyed to finally be a mama to a baby I can hold and love. Tomorrow is also a really sad day. Its the one year anniversary of losing Sawyer. I cant watch Tv because I was watching 9/11 coverage when I started to realize I was miscarrying. One year ago tomorrow my world fell apart. When I had my d and c; the hospital offered a free service for babies lost before 20 weeks. You could opt to have your baby cremated and the remains were wrapped in a white cloth and placed in an urn with other miscarried babies. Once the urn was full (makes me cry to think about all that loss and hurt), they bury the urn at the cemetery in a special plot for miscarried babies. They had a service a while back for when we loss him as the urn fills up only every few years. Well wouldn't you know it, the anniversary of my loss is the same week we get the letter that the urn is full. We have to bury our loss baby Sawyer on Saturday. I'm so grateful for my rainbow but am so sad for my loss baby. I know this is a ramble and I'm new to the board, but had to get this out somewhere. Extra prayers on Saturday as we celebrate the life Sawyer...no matter how brief. Thanks.....

    I'm so sorry for your loss,  you are definitely in my prayers. that's so many emotions to be going through al at once. ((hugs))

    ((HUGS)) Anniversaries are never easy. It does sound nice they did something for your angel at the hospital and your little one will have a final resting place. It is a lot of emotions to go through at one time though.

    Often our babies are sent off to labs and there never is that type of closure. :(

    ((Hugs))  I'll be thinking of you and your family today and this weekend.  What your hospital does for losses before 20 weeks brought tears to my eyes.  The thought of all of the babies getting to be together and to the thought of all of the affected families burying their babies this weekend is just more than my emotions could take this morning.  So sad but so comforting at the same time.
    November 2010 - 10.5 week loss  o:) 
    October 2011 - DS (7)  <3 
    July 2014 - Stillborn DD (24 weeks)  o:) 
    August 2015 - DD (3)  <3 
    April 2018 - 5 week loss o:)

    Thanks ladies. Its a lot of emotions. I am VERY grateful that our hospital offers this service. The day of my d and c that was my top concern....what will they do with my baby. The relief I felt that morning when they told me of this program was indescribable. They call the area the "best friends garden". There's. A garden with lots of flowers and a bronze plaque with a little saying. Its nice to know I can visit him whenever I want. Will post an update Saturday. Thanks again for your support.

    [/    RA with Sjogren's Syndrome. Risk of heart block in newborn. Age: DH and I are both 38.
    BFP #1: 11/25/2007, EDD 7/28/2008 - Missed m/c (blighted ovum) 12/6/2007 6w3d, D&C 1/3/2008.
    BFP #2: 4/2008 - Natural m/c at 6w.
    Met with RE in 5/2008 full cycle analysis and SA normal. Not considered high risk for blood clots but prescribed 1 baby aspirin a day precautionary during TTC and Progesterone suppositories during 1st trimester of pregnancy.
    BFP #3: 10/17/2008. EDD 6/23/2009,  Third time's the charm! Healthy baby boy born 6/27/2009 via emergency c-section.
    BFP #4: 6/14/2011. Healthy baby boy born 2/16/2012 via elective c-section.
    BFP #5: 1/15/2014. EDD 9/22/2014.     2/17/14:.We have a BABY!!! Heart rate 167 and measuring on time. 3/10/14 u/s #2 baby measuring perfectly at 12 weeks at heart rate of 166. NT u/s was normal. Maternit21 blood draw on 3/5/14. Results back on 3/19 - Normal.  It's a BOY!!!  4/10/14 at 16 weeks, 3 days discovered baby's heart stopped at 15 weeks, 6 days. D&C 4/11/14.  Pathology results were all normal.  New information on 8/11/14 - blood test revealed 1/3 of babys blood was in mine caused, most likely, by a tear in the placenta from extreme coughing.  Doctor believes this to be the cause of death.  Repeat D&C and Hysteroscopy scheduled for 8/19/14.  My Chart

    ((Hugs))  That is so much to take at one- new mama emotions, loss mama emotions...no wonder you are overwhelmed.  

    I think that it is really touching your hospital has such a program in place.
