Maternity leave options for pay????

Hey I am very newly pregnant and wondering if anyone knows if there are options out there for payments while out on leave. My work offers maternity leave that is unpaid. Wondering if short term disability insurance is an option if I am already pregnant or unemployment....anything...... So didn't think about that at all Dee

I'm using short term disability for my 6 weeks, but I had the policy in place before getting pregnant. I believe it would be a pre-existing condition so if you don't already have STD I think you'd be out of luck. Unemployment would only be for if you got fired. It sounds like you will have to use any sick time/vacation time/PTO that you have saved up if you want to get paid - sorry.
