Could I be pregnant even if I get a negative test result at 5 weeks?

My husband and I have been trying conceive and we had sex everyday for a week from couple of weeks after the first day of my period. [[First day of my period 08/04/2013. had sex 08/18=08/24]] I'm about 9 days late but I keep getting a negatives on the pregnancy tests I've been taking. I should be about 5 weeks, if i'm pregnant. However, I have noticed I've been really hungry the past few days and have gained 5-6 lbs in 1 week. I got this really very very barely noticeable period like cramp yesterday and today. no signs of any blood. Should I wait it out for couple of more weeks? or go see a doctor? How long did it take you to show a positive pee test?

Are you tracking your ovulation with charting? If not, there is no way to know when you ovulated and when you should test. General rule is test once a week until AF shows up or you hit 60 days. At 60 days your doctor can jump start your period for you. Good luck.

It sounds to me like you probably just ovulated a little later than usual, but without charting, there's no way to tell.

If you aren't pregnant, then I'd assume you ovulated later than expected, that being said, it appears you tried only ON your ovulation date & after which is less likely for many to work out with a positive, so next time try a few days before your o day as well!
