For the love of all that is holy, get your fingers out of your vag and go see your doctor or go to L&D and let them assess!
In memory of Corbin Scott 10/28/11-12/3/11.
Heaven got another angel the night you left this world behind
Heaven got a little better the day it took you away from me
Missing you tonight, see you again sometime
For now I'll close my eyes and dream of heaven tonight
I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
Now and Forever
My baby you'll be
Here's an idea - CALL YOUR DOCTOR. None of us can tell you what you're touching (you shouldn't be "checking" yourself anyway), and none of us can tell you if you're dilating.
Maybe we aren't helpful because none of us have shoved our hands so far up our vag that we feel squishy things so none of us have any clue what you are talking about! Because we aren't doctors or labor and delivery nurses!!!!!
Ugh, why are you even trying to check if you're dilated? Do you realize it doesn't mean anything if you are or aren't? Dilation isn't an indication of when you will go into labor so I'm not sure why you would even bother and honestly, I have no clue how you could even reach at this point. Also, you're 35 weeks, your OB isn't even interested in checking this at 35 weeks, if they will even check at all.
My opinion: get your finger out of there and ask your OB if you really want to know. Again, no clue why you're even concerned about this but whatever blows your skirt up I guess. Also, most OBs go by the 5-1-1 rule, contractions 5 minutes apart lasting 1 minute each for 1 hour straight so if that was happening for 4 hours, why the hell didn't you call your OB? It sounds like you need to have a long chat with them anyways...
How about I remind you to not ask stupid fucking questions? Seriously. I've seen some dumb questions on this site, but this one takes the cake. How are you this far along and THIS uneducated about your pregnancy? And what makes you think that internet strangers can tell you whether or not you're dilated or what you're touching?
wow are all of u pregnant or moms. your seriously severely immature
We're immature. Right. Because, you know, we actually took the time to call our doctors, and educate ourselves about our pregnancies and anatomy instead of asking internet strangers. Also, the abuse and spam buttons aren't dislike buttons. But good job.
Way to DD.
For those of you just joining us, OP here is about 35 week, having irregular contractions, and wants to know if she's dilating. So she shoved her fingers in her vag, felt "something squishy" and wants to know if it's her baby or her cervix. That summary doesn't do her OP justice, though.
OMG, I normally try to stay out of the flaming, but I can only assume by the responses what this was about....why?? Just Why? Would you check yourself for Dilation? Trying to feel baby?

Are you fucking kidding me? I actually gave you advice to your asinine post and you flagged me? How the hell is what I, or anyone, said "severely immature" yet you being so ignorant about your own pregnancy is totally fine in your opinion? Educate yourself and talk to your OB. It's pretty damn immature to come to the internet to ask strangers medical questions, don't you think?
Also, if you abused the flag button, it is not a "dislike" button and I did nothing to violate the Bump's TOS. If you keep using it in the wrong way, you'll get yourself banned. Which is really a win for everyone, in my opinion.

I think that covers it.
Maybe I'm just new to this being-a-woman-thing, but when you shove your fingers up there... isn't it ALL squishy?
Who knows... Maybe I'm doing something wrong when I give myself my own pelvic exams? ::eyeroll::

lol Maybe. I guess since we're on the topic, now is the time to ask. The level of stupid...Ugh.
I'm actually legitimately surprised that I haven't been flagged. She must have me blocked, but she just joined yesterday. Maybe she's just reading past my responses.
This is officially my favorite thread on this site so far. Between the most ridiculous OP and the hilarious GIFs, my day has been made better for reading all of these. Thank you everyone!
Ticker above is based on original due date: 9/21. C-section scheduled for 9/16.
Aww...I knew I should of quoted her the first time..
Big time. I just said the same thing to myself.
Dude...you always seem to get the flag happy button people...you've been flagged like 3 times...lol
I saw that. The laughter it's bringing me is not helping these mini contractions I've been having all day. Meanwhile, nothing I've said is flagable. She can bring it. She got you a couple times too.
Hopefully you don't have to check to see if you're dilating!!
Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, she joined TB yesterday. So there's that.
And has three or four other replies telling people all about what contractions feel like and how she was induced with her FIRST child. So this woman has been pregnant more than once.

Why do people not realize that you can't control how people on the internet will respond?

Also, you need a comma between seriously and severely.

There's a really special brand of crazy going on in Third Tri the last few weeks.

I do see she's making her way around with the flags to get herself banned though.

I gave a summary of her post in bold toward the top-ish of the page if you want to get the gist.
...I fear for the future.
Mark it on your card, I wouldn't blame you.
