Success after IF

Question about any Empty Sac

I had an ultra Sound yesterday at 5wks4d since we did IVF and I had light spotting they wanted to check and make sure everything is ok. So we put 2 eggs back in on our transfer day. On the ultra sound 1 egg split and you clearly see twins the other embryo sac was empty. But the tec said its to early to tell that their maybe another baby in there(yikes) has anyone else experienced this before? We have our next ultra sound next Wednesday and they said well know for sure but I'm terrified its triplets now!

Re: Question about any Empty Sac

  • I have no experience, but just wanted to say welcome and good luck!  Also, I think we are in the BMB!

I do think it might be a little early to tell anything, though...I've always heard that about 7 weeks is when they can say definitively.

I think we are! I just found the IF board and it made my day! So now I'm reading through it all and hoping ladies that have been through this IF journey may be able to help a little more!

  • I would say at this point that the third sac could go either way. Congratulations on your pregnancy and a happy and healthy nine months to you!
