PS I only clicked Love It on your comment to acknowledge that I had seen your response. I didn't mean to imply that I love that people thought you are crazy.  FWIW I think tone is so hard to interpret on these boards, I think a lot of people who are nice people get labeled as crazy and nice people get labeled as snarky.  sorry you felt attacked.

Thank you for the nomination, but I respectfully decline.  The moderator is a long term position and I'm a bit worried about my time now.  When the twins come, I feel like I will be overwhelmed.  I do appreciate being thought of though.

@dajhughes I had declined earlier.  I'm pretty sure I've made some enemies & lack the ability to be impartial.  Thank you guys for the offer though.

and @WifeofaComposer had thrown out that she would be interested so I would take that as accepting!  I hope that helps

You are very kind - I've toyed with the idea of volunteering but I am worried about the time commitment. I do most of my bumping from my phone and it's a bit cumbersome. I will consider the time commitment and see if I want to add my name to the list.  Thanks for the nomination.

I feel like more people would step forward if they knew they could co-mod, then the responsibility wouldn't seem as great. Does TB do co-mods?

I agree with DemoDoll - I'm also wondering if we want to just go with the three who have accepted? That way the responsibility is spread out a bit more, and easier for those who might miss a day or two here and there. Or if I'm mistaken and there are more than three who have accepted or volunteered, perhaps we could look at having more than two. We need to remember that they have to be approved first too

I'm pretty sure I've seen boards with more than one mod....but I could be wrong. With the new tagging features it also makes it easier for violations to be seen and a mod tagged to the post, say if a mod hasn't opened the thread where it's happening. I honestly don't think that the mod has to even be on all day or even multiple times a day but at least check in once a day to make sure there aren't any issues. It's not a full time babysitting job....ya know, unless the bump starts paying for it

Oh - let me clarify - my intention was to have a deadline for nominations and to give all timezones plenty of time to read through this tonight.  Then tomorrow AM I'd take my list of notes of final names of everyone who accepted the nomination and create a poll tomorrow.  A mod from another board who posted previously - I think it was @CrashIntoMe1 - suggested that a poll would be the most efficient way to nominate and then the top 2 vote-getters are vetted by @bumpjackie.  Would that work?

If we only have 3-4 people I suggest giving all the names and skipping the poll.

Mods have requirement of three hours per week, no specific daily commitments. Obviously, if you know the mod personally, you can notify them, but hey, none of this is paid work.

I knew it wasn't paid, I was kidding. But good to know about the 3 hours per week.
