Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Travel tips?

I will be going on a short 3 day vacation (4 hr drive away), staying in a nice hotel with DH and LO who is 5 months. She eats BM (from my freezer stash from when I was EPing) and a little oatmeal 2x / day.

Anyone have any tips for making travel a little less hectic (around feeding, packing, sleeping, or otherwise)? We're considering this a test run for a longer and further trip we want to take in Feb. so I want it to go well and not make me want to pull my hair out! Any and all tips welcome and appreciated!!

Re: Travel tips?

  • We have traveled twice with DD so far, one plane trip and one car trip.  I agree with leaving at a time where LO will sleep most of the time.  We left way early in the morning so the first chunk of our drive she slept (it was a much longer drive than yours).  When we stayed in a hotel I asked for a PNP to be in our room, but brought my own sheet.  If you have room to bring your own, go for it, but I was flying so didn't want to bring it.  You should be able to request a fridge in your hotel room also, if there isn't one already - but the cooler idea is good too.  Both of our trips went surprisingly well...hopefully yours does too! :)
