38 weeks prego today. Appointment on friday (13th) with midwife?

I am wondering what my appoinment will be like, if anyone has had their 38th week check up recently. This is my 2nd full term pregnancy. I am 25 and my daughter went all the way up until 41 weeks before I was induced. I have had multiple unplanned miscarriages sincer her birth, three in all and i believe they were all in the first trimester. I was wondering if this, along with the fact that I am a mother already makes my chances of delivering earlier than my expected due date?

also, I have heard more recently that the due date is (obviously) an estimation but that it can be up to two weeks off.. Is this usually the rule or what. I am a little fuzzy on this and it has been 6 years since i had been pregnant this much so I dont recollect a lot. I am hoping that i actually make to 41 weeks but just curious about the probability of doing so. I have to move this weekend and then set up in my new place so I have a lot to do before the baby comes. I do hope however, that this time around my water breaks on its own. Last time they broke it for me. I am not experiencing any BH contractions, as far as I can tell. I have gained a whole 10 lbs less than I did with my daughter, and this is a girl too so I don't know what that is about either.... I dont think i had BH with her either. 

Sorry, so many concerns but I appreciate it a lot! There probably arent any statistics on deliveries and factors that make one pregnancy go differently from a previous, huh. .

My last question is how I can actually get my water to break on its own... I mean I know the routine meathods and I dont want to try unconventional means, I just want the surprise experience of it breaaking on its own. So am I understanding correctly that the only way to allow that to happen is to wait it out...? Like even if I feel like I am in labor, stick it out and wait for it to break? Is that safe?

Congrats on making it to 38wks. Sorry about your other losses.

I don't have any personal experience as I am a ftm but I know there isn't anything that can make your water break other then baby and dr but there are a few old wive tales to put you into labor like sex, nipple stimulation, walking, ankle massages..

I don't believe the saying its your second pregnancy you will be going quicker or earlier then due date. As all pregnancy is different but my SIL made it tk 41 wks all 3 pregnancy

Those are so great questions to ask your MW. But if your in labor and in pain sweety you call your dr or MW right away don't just wait for your water to break because in alot of cases the bag doesn't break with out help.
