Hi all,
After 2 years of infertility, my husband and I finally got a BFP through our first round of IVF. We could not be more thrilled! I've been on the other boards here and there, but this is my first time posting here. Hoping to learn and contribute a lot to the board!
I went to the dermatologist today and basically, he nixed everything for acne (some products he said was ok, but wait until the 2nd trimester). This scared me, since I used acne products for the first two weeks of my pregnancy without knowing that they were big no nos! Hopefully, the baby is ok....
But now I'm wondering - if acne products are not safe since they can be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, what about body lotion?! I have been using Jergen's regular formula, and then Aveeno - I haven't been able to find much on safety. I did find that Aveeno has dimethicone and that might be dangerous as well. Do you ladies use a body lotion that you know is safe? Any ideas would help! I know I may sound like I'm going overboard, but I just want to do everything I can to have a healthy baby. Thank you!
Re: Introduction.... and question about safe body lotion!
To answer your question, I use palmers cocoa butter and Vaseline intensive care while pg. and your little bean is fine, I used acne face wash my whole last pregnancy and didn't know better. LO is fine now! But of course now is a great time to switch to something safer. GL and congrats again.
