Motorola MPB36 monitor with 2 cameras- question

I am considering purchasing the Motorola MPB36 video monitor, but had a question that i cannot find online. 

If the video is off (either at night when we are sleeping, or when it is off the charger), will it still scan audio between the two cameras?  Or does it only give you audio from one camera?

    yes, i just checked with mine and if you have it on scan it still scans back and forth even when the video is off.

    Yes it still scans, just like PP said.  We have the MP40 w/ 2 cameras and so far it is great!   I LOVE being able to move the camera around.
