TTM about RaR OS vs other OS covers

Hi All,

I know cover brands have been discussed a million times, but I wanted to compare 3 specific brands. TIA!

We’ve decided that the ideal CD solution for our family is prefolds (and some fitteds) under covers. We currently have an AI2 stash of Best Bottoms with inserts and Blueberry OS covers with prefolds, which are all too big right now. As you know, the OS BB are for sizes ~6-35+ lbs, and the Blueberry covers for ~10-40 lbs. We have a former 32 week preemie (corrected to age 10 days now), who is about 8 lbs and still cannot fit into the OS BB or Blueberry covers. I did pick up some Bummis Super Brites and newborn/preemie Rumparooz covers and preemie/newborn prefolds, which are now getting a little small. I think she’ll fit into our original OS covers very soon, but I’m wondering your opinions on RaR OS covers? From others who have used these covers and/or could compare them to BB and Blueberry, how does the fit run? I feel the newborn RaR waistband was quite stiff and tight, but the rise was great. I’ve also heard RaRs run a little small? Do ppl prefer one cover to the others? I know I could just order one RaR OS cover to try out, but I just thought I’d ask before I start shopping again while I impatiently wait for DD to fit into her bigger dipes!  Thanks for the info!

I have blueberry and RaR covers. Love my RaRs best of all my covers. But then, I really dislike thirsties covers which people seem to love. I think it depends on the baby and the parents. You'll hear all kinds of differing opinions on stuff.

We have found Best Bottoms run really small so trying those with your prefolds may be a good option. They fit my son really well from about 9 pounds or so, I believe. They run so small that my toddler actually outgrew them much earlier than I had hoped!

Thanks for all your input, ladies! I did order 2 RaR OS covers. I have prefolds and inserts for the BB and then Blueberry covers for when she's bigger. It sounds like I should have her covered (pun intended) for smaller and larger sizes and everywhere in between.
