OK...So I know I've asked this before. But now that we know LO is definitely a girl, DH and I are trying to decide if we should just keep the nursery the nursery and just put DD in a "big girl" room, or if we should just suck it up and get another crib. DD's crib is convertible so I don't really know if it's that big of an issue to just get another crib but who knows.
So for those of you that have done an earlier transition to a toddler bed/possibly twin...would you think 14 months is too young? I would want to make the transition before new baby gets here, so I'd personally want that done in the beginning of December to give her a chance to adjust before we have a newborn. Or should I just let her stay in her crib where she's happy and just get to decorate a new room for a new baby? Thoughts from mom's who've BTDT would be appreciated:)
Re: STM+ transferring from crib to bed
I'm definitely not in the same situation, but as a late transferrer (DD just switched at over 2.5), I would say that you could try converting to a toddler bed to see how it goes for a few weeks. DD loved her crib and probably would have stayed in it until she physically out grew it, but the transition to the big bed hasn't been too bad.
Is your DD a good sleeper? Has she tried climbing out?
