That would be fun! Can we do it NOT on Wednesday or Friday? All of my fun check ins are on Wednesdays and Fridays, so my other days of the week are lame.

I'm game! Having a thread to check on at any random opportunity saves me from needless housework and yard chores. My vote is to do this thread on Tuesdays.
Ugh I don't even use OPKs (ovulation predictor kits, unaveragejane) because I apparently suck at reading them. Either that or I've never ovulated in my life, which would be difficult considering I've got a kid.
Can my part of the check in be me whining about how badly I want to be pregnant again, and then the next day freaking out about how I absolutely cannot handle another kid right now, much less another pregnancy? Because I'd be really good at that.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.

Part of the check-in? Yeah I was pretty much planning on centering the check-in around this theme . Also, have you tried digital OPKs? No guesswork. But I can't vouch for them because I only started using them this month and got a positive three days ago, then two days of negatives and a positive today. So basically, I have no idea what's going on, haha.
Ok, I've got a question. J and I are coming up with a budget for adding a second kid, and I legitimately can't think of much besides medical costs and another car seat.
What am I missing?

I'm too cheap to do something like that. I'm gonna pick up charting again this week, even though we haven't actually decided to TTC again yet.

I'm gonna stalk you guys! Hehe. There's no way I want another one now. But the whole getting pregnant journey is fun to watch. I even kind of miss pregnancy. I got more sleep then! Hehe
Does / did anyone else feel like their inside baby was a different baby from their outside baby? I still can't believe this little guy was actually inside me. Lol.
Don't forget new maternity clothes, bras, and prenatal pills (depending on what you take).
I may get a double stroller, I didn't think about that, but we're big baby wearers. All of our parenting style pretty much negates needing any of the other baby things. We still bed share, and have a convertible crib for the eventual transition. Our nursery is basically a glorified closet. All my maternity clothes are still in good shape and I've been taking my prenatals nonstop.

@YellowLily2013 Yes and no. I definitely cannot believe that my little girl used to be inside my body, it's insane! But I think she is just like she was inside. Moving all.day.long, and hiccuping constantly. And stubborn. We got 4 of those 3d/4d ultrasounds trying to get a picture of her face. They said we were the first people they have ever had to reimburse, as they guarantee a look at LO's face. She's still that stubborn.
@Into+the+Kitty depending on how many dipes you have, you might need to build up your stash to fit 2 in dipes, unless A won't be in them anymore. And you might either need a new crib for the baby, or a big girl bed for A and move the new baby into her crib. And formula if you use it.

ITK, I'd still watch seasons. I needed to add t-shirts and shorts to my maternity wardrobe. I was able to get by last time because I started needing longer shirts in the fall.
As for nursery, our kids will be sharing a room. The only thing I'm looking into is better closet organization and probably a twin bed for our daughter. We'll be keeping the new guy in our room until 6 months at least.
And I agree on the baby wearing. I already bought an Ergo and I'm debating a Moby.

LOL. Me too. My friend just got KU and gave me her leftovers
@sarenu1 I love my moby! I also got a hotsling I love with my toddler. Much simpler than the moby for when we are running a bunch of errands and in and out if the car.
@itk, sorry, I guess I was typing while you posted your response. Sounds like you're pretty set!

And how did anyone miss this?!?! You'll always need more diapers!

I'm totally going to make any entire newborn stash for myself. I've been making some NB dipes for a friend and am only a little tempted to keep all of the squishy cuteness for myself!

I didn't always get a positive opk, it was more "almost positive". I started temping then realized I cramp when I O. So then I just kind of half assed the temping and opks around my mid cycle cramping.
Apparently it worked.
Also, my midwife said couples who just have sex twice a week have the same success rate as those who chart. But for those like us who can't always count on random sex, once early in the week and once late in the week, temping was my life saver.
Love the idea of two changing areas. We've got an upstairs and downstairs now, and I can't see wanting to be going upstairs just to change a diaper as often as a newborn needs to be changed.
