Toddler weight gain

Out of curiousity I just weighed DS1. He's 2y8m and 33.2lbs.

At his 2 year checkup he was 34lbs clothed so in almost 9 months he hasn't gained any weight. He was technically overweight at his 2 year appt so there's certainly no concern about him being underweight but I was shocked to see he hasn't gained anything!

Would thy concern you? Or do toddlers often just grow taller without gaining much?

DD likes to play on the scale on my bathroom and I noticed the other day she was 26lbs and change (at 2.5 yrs) and IIRC that is what she weighed at 2 years. She's active, eats a ton, normal poops and pees, bright eyed and bushy tailed. I'm not worried.

I think as long as they are not falling off the growth chart and are eating, acting and developing appropriately there is no cause for concern.  My kid was 31lbs. at his 2 yr appt. and the last time he got weighed at a Drs. office at 2 yrs 9 months he was 31lbs.  He is a picky eater but does eat a decent amount of food and has boundless amounts of energy.  I am thinking that he is going to drop a little lower on the growth chart at his 3 year appt. though because he has gotten taller but his weight has stayed the same.

DD has been 29lbs for several months now, but she has gotten taller. We just had her 3yo appointment and her doctor said her BMI was going down, but appropriately for this stage.

I think they're much more active, so they don't gain as much, but get taller. DD has been the same weight (29-30 lbs) for some time now.

Nora has gained just a few oz since her 2 year appointment, and her weight has been exactly the same for a few months now. I know this because every time she comes in the bathroom with me, she likes to step on the scale to see it light up lol.

All that to say, I think it's pretty typical at this age.

I have been thinking about this lately. DD is 17mo and has only gained 2 lb since she was 6 mo and that was all gained before a year. She hasn't gained any weight since her one year appt. She was a chunky kid (96th %) and she eats fine and is developing right. The only thing that concerns me is a constant constipation problem. She has her 18 mo appt at the end of the month so we will see if the pedi is concerned then.

DS is the same and has gained a pound or less since his 2 year appointment. He is taller because he can't wear his pants from last year, just has thinned out.

Oliver only gained 2 lbs between his 2 year check-up and his 3 year check-up today, but he's gotten much taller.  So I think it's pretty normal.

DD2 was almost 29 lbs at the beginning of the summer, and now she is definitely taller, and more like 27 lbs. Either they weighed her wrong, or she has been running around so much, she just lost baby fat. She certainly hasn't stopped eating, but I noticed the fat on her thighs and tush is disappearing (sadz).
