Medical WWPD - me

We've had a cough running through here for weeks. Today I'm coughing worse and have nasal congestion and a low fever - 99.3. I just came back from maternity leave 3 weeks ago but would you skip work tomorrow and go to the doctor? Just skip work or do nothing? I hate overreacting but nobody wants the sick person at work.

Re: Medical WWPD - me

  • If I felt like I could go in and not be miserable, I would with those symptoms. But I wouldn't feel bad staying home if I felt like shit either. I avoid the doctor as much as possible and wouldn't go for that.

  • Ugh. In the last five minutes it's up a whole degree and I have chills and aches. This sucks.

  • I think your co-workers would prefer you stay home.

Because you have a young one in the house, it might be best to hit the doctor? I mean, you probably have a virus and need to rest.

  • This thing won't die! The baby was in the ER a few weeks back with it and they both went to the doctor last weekend with it and the older one got meds that don't seem to have worked. FML.

  • If it had been running through the house for weeks and I had a fever, yes, I would go to the dr.
