How would you pronounce this name?

We decided on the name Eden (Ee-din) if we have a little girl but a lot of people are pronouncing it like Aiden and we hate that name trend. If you saw the name Eden, how would you pronounce it?

E-den;  no offense but it's a very old name and I find it awful that people don't know how to pronounce it.....after all, it wasn't the Garden of Aiden :-)

E-din. I don't see why anyone would automatically assume any other pronunciation...

I personally didn't think aiden at all, those people are over thinking the pronunciation a lot!!! I like the name, it's not overly common

I really don't understand how anyone could not know how to pronounce Eden. I would roll my eyes SO hard.

Simply ee-din as in, The Garden. I don't think you should have many issues with pronounciation. I love the name!

Thank you guys so much! We were considering changing it just to avoid having to correct people all the time but these responses eased our worries a ton.

I'm with PP. Do you live in an area with harsh/heavy accents? That's the only way I could possibly understand someone pronouncing Eden like Aidan.

This was one of our top contenders for DD. I've never heard it pronounced any way but Ee-den.
