12 weeks, measuring big (yikes?!?)

I ha my 12 wk checkup Friday, and the dr said I was measuring big for how far along I am. And I am most certain I am 12 weeks! I cant help but be wondering why I am measuring big! I had extra fluid with my first pregnancy, could it be that again? Could it be twins? (twins don't run on either side of our families). Or what other explanation is there???? I cant wait til my 16 wk appt to see if I still measure big, if I do then I will go ahead and have an ultrasound scheduled.

How much bigger are you measuring? I measured big the whole time. I had a 10lb baby.

dr measured by uterus size....

@reenielynn.... at 12 wks my uterus was measuring already past my belly button (or above).

As was mine this time around. Your uterus tends to stretch and grow easier and faster with every subsequent child. Unless your OB seems concerned, you don't have cause for alarm yet.
