Why does Claire look wet?

This is what I heard my son say from the other room shortly after I had taken the jar of baby vaseline away from Claire. Apparently I did not put it up high enough. She smeared it all over her arms, legs, hair, the carpet in her room and one of her stuffed animals. She also embedded about 20 little hair clips into the vaseline in the jar (they were like fully submerged, not just dropped in). I gave her a bath right after but I think it will take about 5 shampoos before her hair gets back to normal.

Baking soda on the carpet before vacuuming will help. Been there.

Egg whites rubbed in her hair or peanut butter rubbed in her hair seemed to help DD when she did something similar
