Is it for a boy or girl? I agree with the PP and really like Alistair for a boy as an alternative to Allaire.

I think I like it. I'm an Allie and tend to have an Al-bias with names (Alice, Alistair, Alfred). Are you familiar with Alifair? It was famously one of the names of the McCoys (of the Hatfields and McCoys), and I think it's a little easier than Allaire...? I like Allaire, but the more I say it to myself, the more I hear "a lair."
