If your previous baby wad IUGR, did impact how your OB tracked subsequent pregnancies? Did any subsequent babies get diagnosed with IUGR?

Im 16 wks pregnant and my last pregnancy was IUGR. Im worried it might happen again and trying to understand if a previous IUGR increases the likelihood that it will happen again.

I am wondering the same thing. I think it depends on the reason for your IUGR. Ask your OB considering our circumstances I guess..

My daughter was IUGR, I'm 31 weeks now and so far this little guy is growing on track. My dr started me on a folate supplement last week which is supposed to decrease the risk of a recurrence of IUGR. You could ask your OB about that at your next appt.

Thanks! Did you get standard ultrasiunds or did you have extra ones ti track the baby? Im surprised that my ob isnt planning ti do extra ones. Last time they only found out about tue IUGR because I went to the ER.

I have 2 IUGR boys and one SGA boy.  My DS2 was my 1st IUGR baby, the IUGR along with Oligo was caught at 32 weeks.  He was born via emergency csection at 38 weeks and was 3lbs 15oz.  

With DS3 they caught both the IUGR and again Oligo at 20 weeks this time.  With him since it was caught sooner I was monitored a lot more.  I had weekly fluid checks, BPP every 3 weeks, and at 32 weeks stress test 2x a week.  He was born csection at 36 weeks and was 4lbs 10oz.

My first DD was iugr due to high blood pressure. She stopped going around 29 weeks and I delivered her at 34 weeks at 3lbs. This current pregnancy I have been on high bp meds and baby had been growing great. It just started increasing but so far baby still looks good. They did mo it or me starting at 20 weeks with growth ultrasounds once a month. I also take a baby aspirin which is supposed to help blood flow.
