SIL makes a disparaging comment (on Facebook) about her BFF's son. BFF flies into a rage and tells her husband all about it while also responding directly to SIL with nasty comments. BFF's husband unleashes on SIL (mind you, SIL's husband has been holding his tongue about SIL's crazycakes shit for, like, ten years). SIL continues being nasty, perpetuating the cycle.
Bit of backstory: SIL is a drama llama. SIL's best pal ever is a drama llama. The two are currently fighting.
I just got Facebook friend requests from both of them.
Every pore of my being is screaming,
Do not give in to temptation and accept their friend requests.
Yeah, I'm not touching this with a ten-foot pole. The fact that I'm not accepting their requests will be enough, in and of itself, to ignite some serious drama. But at least it will be ONE dramatic situation that I can just put my head down and power through, as opposed to the constant stream of drama that being Facebook friends with them would cause.
Dudes, I like to watch some drama unfold as much as the next person but I am not kidding when I say that on a drama scale of 1 to 10 these bitches are ELEVENTY.
In fact, the reason that I refuse to get more of the skinny on the son-insulting drama is because knowing anymore than I do automatically qualifies me as a participant in the drama. As soon as I caught wind of it I was like,
I had her on my FB three-ish years ago for, like, a month. Then she took a status I posted in jest about how people claiming to know DD2's name were liars (I was pg at the time and keeping it secret). She purposely misconstrued it and tried to start a fire between MIL and I with it by saying I was maliciously targeting MIL, who was on a mission to guess the name and thought she'd succeeded.
I found out, as I learned more about SIL, that she has major jealousy issues and tries to split up relationships that make her jealous. Winner, that one.
But it only took that one time and I deleted her. There was a small uproar but I stuck to my guns. And I am still sticking to my guns.
