First and foremost, thank you and your DH for your service/sacrifice to this country! And if you don't mind me asking, what branch of the military is your DH in?

We just became an Air Force family back in March. I never envisioned myself being a military wife but DH really wanted to serve as psychologist and I knew he'd be great at it. I'm still a little nervous about the whole deployment and having to move around a lot thing but spouses like you give me faith that I can handle it too although I imagine it's far from easy.

Also, at the expense of sounding like a total creep, I've been lurking here for a long time and you and @onederfulmother are totally my bump crushes. You both just seem so chill and down to earth. Plus, I am a fellow spaz so that helps. You've also both introduced me to One Direction and helped me re-discover my inner fangirl. So thanks for that.

I don't know. Sookie and CG come across as very intellectual whereas Mack and OM posts tend to be more lighthearted and fun (at least on here). I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person but I am also very passionate and sometimes have a hard time communicating effectively when I'm all fired up so I tend to avoid more controversial topics but I often admire them for being able to put together thoughtful responses on these topics.

To be honest, I was on the Nest way back on a local board where a lot of posters were all "omg. I hate poor people." and what not. I would go nuts trying to argue with them to no avail. I promised myself that if I were to get back into an online community that I wouldn't put myself in that situation again because it was honestly emotionally exhausting. I wish I had known than how to just say "really? well, bless your heart."

So, in short (or not, as the case may be), I love all the women on this board because they seem really smart and cool and down to earth. Kumbaya and shit.
