Head Thrashing

Hey ladies! When my baby is trying to fall asleep, he repeatedly thrashes his head from side to side. Is this normal, self soothing behavior?

My dd does this.  She usually ends up sleeping with her head on one side but usually throws it to the other side when falling asleep. I don't know why she does it but she does.  I wouldn't worry about it

My son still does this at 5 months, "Stevie Wondering his way to sleep"

My LO does this too. It usually doesn't last super long. She does it to put herself back to sleep during the night.
