I created a mini-me

Dd's personality is really shining! It is crazy to see her turn into a little person. I look at her and wonder what happened to my little baby. She is starting to look more kid than baby :( She is Sassy with a capital S. How do I discipline someone who is a carbon copy of me? Interestingly she is a big introvert and I'm an extrovert. (The part of her personality from DH). How is your lo doing?

  • I say the same thing all the time! Looking into his eyes is like looking into a mirror-- they really are my eyes physically but it's the expression and the wheels that I see turning as he's thinking that look just like mine. I can always tell when he's up to no good because I know that look very well! The main trait that he seems to have picked up from his dad is his picky, bland eating habits. They both have about 10 core foods that they'll eat and they live for snacks like pretzels. When we get home from work, they both head to the pantry together and come out with their mouths stuffed with pretzels. My husband loves this.

  • Yup I have a mini me...  looks and looking to be built like his daddy, but his inner core is pure momma.  Oh dear LOL

.. I swear my lil fishy is an Aries inside. I always said the dates were off and that's a big reason I refused to induce before 40 weeks when they kept suggesting it.

  • It's so fun to see more personality. I'm a very tactile person. I just love to go in stores and touch all the clothes just to feel the soft fabric. Petting my dog really calms me down. I bought some soft fleece pjs for DD yesterday. DH had laid them on the floor before her bath and she collapsed into them just to rub her face on the soft fleece. Over her video monitor, we could see her running her hands on the fleece arms right before she fell asleep. It's a weird thing to inherit, but it's all me!

In related news, I am sad we already need fleece jammies!
  • And I thought it was just me! DH likes say I'm "firey." I get worked up over what I view is right. I have a huge sense of justice. DH and I both are stubborn. DD.....got both traits. Time outs are the other thing that work right now and even that is hit or miss. She thinks most punishment is "funny." DH was like that as a kid. She hates being yelled at. I was like that as a kid. I am so tired at the end of every day.

It was 37 here the other night. I love it! I hate summer and love, love, love fall. :)

  • Cute! My DS is definitely a mama's boy. He is shy around new people at first but opens up after he gets comfortable with them. (This is the same as DH too, we're both introverts and shy). He loves animals, loves running around outside. He's so sweet and affectionate and FUNNY! Tonight while I was cooking dinner he came running into the kitchen with my little breast pump cooler on his head like a hat, and I'm pretty sure he did it just to make me laugh. (This is a DH trait, always doing goofy things to crack me up). It is super fun to watch him turn into a little person.
