Hi ladies. I didn't forget about you all. It's just been very busy since Ella arrived.
She is still in the NICU and will be for at least a few more weeks. But she is progressing soooo well. We are truley appreciative of all the thoughts and prayers. Keep them coming as they are certainly working!
She went thru a quick bout of jaundice and type 2 tubular acidosis and she was getting a little backed up but has figured out how to poop like a champ. She is gaining weight nicely and her NG tube is providing my breastmilk to her until she is mature enough to get the suck swallow breathe reflex down. But she is showing great signs of rooting so we are hopeful breastfeeding/bottle will be successful. She is still on a half liter nasal cannula that the doctors are leaving on just to ensure she has the extra help IF needed. Which is fine by me. She has made some huge great strides and the NICU nurses and doctors just love her. We are optimistic she will continue to do great! Here's a picture of our little cutie!
