Where to find good jeans?

I'm 27 now.. and I admit, I've been stuck in the "juniors" dept :/ I know that being in my late 20s and a mom of 2, its time to say goodbye to the junior section. Those clothes don't even fit right anymore.

I feel really awkward now. I just had my 2nd baby on Aug 7th and I lost all the weight already. Probably thanks to breastfeeding.. and now I'm back to the weight I was before I got pregnant with my first. Which is great BUT my body has changed.

Anyway, sorry.. I had to vent too. But where do you find good jeans? I still have a bit of a belly :/ So if you know any jeans that work with that, that'd be awesome..

  • Oh yeah, that'd help lol. Lower price range for sure. I never spend much on clothes.

  • I like the skinny jeans at NY and Co. Macy's Style and Co also has a cute stretchy skinny type of jean with tummy control. On the more expensive side, I love Joe's Honey Jeans and Citizens of Humanity. I find jeans with some stretch fit best. Also, TRY ON! It's more about the fit than the brand IMHO

  • I love getting fitted at the Levi's outlet. Nothing like a good pair of ol' fashion Levi's.

My fave jeans are Gap long and leans. They're about $40. That's the most I'm willing to spend on jeans that get turned into snot rags and beach clothes (SAHM here).

And ain't that the worst?! I weigh less and am a smaller size than I was in HS. Doesn't mean it looks as good... damn baby.

Eta: I just looked Gap jeans up and apparently I only ever buy jeans on sale or at outlets... $70?! No way!!!

Did you know that Gap discontinued the long and leans, at least in the stores? :( Last fall I bought the last 2 pair at our store, they were on clearance because they wanted to get rid of them.  I know this will sound lame but I like the higher waist jeans probably because I'm a mom now and I asked if they had any others with a higher waist and she told me no :(  don't know which jeans I will go for next, but I'm loving the jegging right now.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I think I heard about that and blocked it out.

Well shit. I find my none-new jeans at Goodwill. Still hopin' to run across Macklemore.

  • I'm lame. I only buy Old Navy jeans. They fit me best. I love the stretch. Just remember that if they feel tight then they fit. They stretch out within 30 minutes and then are so comfy.

I like Ann Taylor LOFT. They have a style that's good for curvy ladies like me (forget what it's called).
Julie - I know b/c I bought them accidentally and I'm the opposite of curvy.

  • On the expensive side, I like Express's Rerock bootcut jeans. Cheaper end-Old Navy's sweetheart jeans or Gap jeans.
