Question for the BFP morning, what did you do?

Ok So my question is, since so many of you ladies have stated you took multiple tests to confirm a BFP (whether you carried to term or not). What did you do that morning? DO you pee in a cup and then stick another test in, do you poas again asap, did you wait till the next morning?

I always do the cup, cause I can't ever get the stick in stream, so I would think I would stick another test in, but then I wonder if that may not be accurate cause I am testing same FMU, and that could be wrong.

 I think, ultimatley, I would test every day until the baby pops out LOL

Anyway as I haven't had this issue, I was wondering what you ladies did on that first morning?

The first time I got a BFP, I peed on a FR at work! It was Valentine's Day 2010. When I got home, I gave MH a Happy Valentine's Day Daddy card. He was like, "No way!" Actually his first words were, "Is it mine?" Wise ass! I peed on another FR to prove it, but it was a bit of a squinter. He went out and got a digi and I peed on that and it too was positive. The second time I again poas (digi) at work. I was so shocked when it was a BFP that I dropped it and broke it. Then I second guessed myself...maybe I didn't see it clearly... So I peed on another (with the 2 drops of pee I had left) and got another BFP. Both times I miscalculated when AF was due b/c the month had 31 days. When I realized it was due that day, I stopped on my way to work & bought tests. It wasn't FMU, but pretty damn close as I intentionally didn't drink anything.

I'm no help.  I've never felt the need to do more than one home test.   After I get a positive, I call the dr. for betas.

Ticker warning.

I can't remember back to my pregnancies when I was young what time of day it was when I tested, but I can tell you about the last 4.

The first I actually tested late in the day because my mom suggested I might be pregnant and although I really didn't think it was possible I couldn't get the thought out of my head so I ran out and bought a test, thinking I would prove her wrong of course! It was a very clear positive.

The second I tested not with FMU but in the late morning after I had eaten and had my coffee. Clear positive but not quite as dark this time (probably because the previous pregnancy was twins.)

The third was a surprise at the drs office when he was preparing to put me back on the pill to try to get my cycle back on track. That was mid afternoon and the line was very very light, barely noticeable.

With my current pregnancy I tested when everyone from this board kept telling me to test LOL. Really did not expect a bfp. I think I tested in the morning but not first thing. I agonized over whether I should test for awhile then finally gave in. So I think it was late morning and I had already peed once and had my coffee.

So if I think about it, I'm not sure I ever actually used FMU. Seems like I never tested first thing.

I did the same as QOTR for the two times I got to experience a BFP and hope that your time is coming soon!

LOL whenever I test I always wonder as I wait for the BFN, if I would then immediately stick a new test in the cup to double check, do it again later or wait till the next day.

This is purely a "hypothetical" question and just curious what others do LOL!

For my 3 previous BFP I tested in the afternoon but I was at least a week late at that point. And because I was late I trusted only doing the one. Now that I am having trouble getting pregnant I start testing before AF is due and I use FMU.
I think if I got a BFP at this point I would pee on all the sticks in the house at different points of the day.

for my bfp I tested in a cup first with a WONDFO ( cheapie) there was a VERY faint line.  I didn't believe my eyes so I broke out a FRER  and it came back positive as well.  Then I called my RE event though I wasn't doing treatments and they had me come in and do bloodwork.  I didn't pee on a digital till like a week later.

I use a cup because the WONDFO's I typically are too small to do otherwise.... I don't toss the pee until I am certain I don't need it to use a FRER.....

Ditto this exactly (down to calling the RE even though we weren't on a treatment cycle, LOL!).

With both my babies I tested on the first day of my period being due.

DD1 it was a very clear +ve. But I tested again about 4 days later just because I had tests in the cupboard and it was an even clearer +ve

DD2 The first test was so faint that I decided it was -ve. Tested 2 days later and it was still very faint, but I decided it was positive. Tested 2 days later and it wasn't very dark, but a clear positive. All those tests came from the same pack, so I wonder if something about that batch made it less clear, or maybe just to do with when I ovulated/conceived vs my due dates.

So I guess I just wait it out a day or two.

Oh and generally I use sticks you pee on, but recently I used the ones you dip in the cup and it was less hassle than I imagined, and as they're cheaper, I think I'll use those in future.
