New to GD...

Hello! I m 14w3d and was just diagnosed with GD. I was pretty overwhelmed but luckily able to see a nutritionist ASAP. She gave me a meter and meal ideas. Any suggestions for easy meals/ snacks? I'm a teacher so my food has to travel and be easy to eat!!

  • I'm new to this too and it is pretty overwhelming at first. I'm still learning. I see my dietician on the 17th! Until then i'm on my own. Good luck.

  • Unsalted Peanuts or almonds have been my go to protein when I am on the go, just a small handful is enough to even out a 15g carb snack.. Cheese is also great..

I like sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, meat and cheese on whole wheat bread of course because its quick and easy and seems to keep my numbers pretty low.

A WW toast with peanut butter and a glass of milk makes for a good bed time or breakfast snack..

Salad with grilled chicken is also great, and low in carbs.
