I wanted to do cookies for DS's birthday party instead of cupcakes/cakes because it's just easier for us. Would it be better to have them pre-packaged into small bags for the kids (e.g. 3 cookies or so) or to have them laid out buffet style for them to take?
Re: Cookies in bags or as a "buffet" for birthday party?

I would stack a few cookies in cute little muffin cups.
Go to a wedding in Southwestern Pennsylvania - you will likely find one.
Had one at my wedding and there was one at almost every single wedding I have ever been to in that part of PA.
