Posted the post from the poor shaming thread. I am not close to her. She just married a buddy of ours from high school. I couldn't stand her nonsense with gun control posts but I ignored it. This just pissed me off so I posted this...

What this post fails to realize is that there are many people who get help who do have jobs or had a job until something outside of their control took that job away. Assuming that all people that get welfare (medicaid, food stamps, tanf) made some sort of mistake that led them there is just foolish.

There was so much more I wanted to say but it won't get through so instead I am just going to delete her. She is 21. She has a long life ahead of her and I hope she never "makes a mistake" and needs to get help because if she does she will have a rude awakening.

Also a lot of folks receiving aid are employed and are working poor. Or are disabled.

These moronic Facebook "shares" can be useful for eliminating people from your list, but thy also suck because they taint your view of other people you can't unfriend. Like, I'm friends with one of DH's best friend's wife and she shares so much stupid crap. We get along good and see her frequently and I desperately do not want to know that she's a moron but the damage is done.

I totally know what you mean! Which is why I was just ignoring her uninformed gun control stuff but this just crosses a line for me.
