Re: Ear piercing
If I was going to have it done so young, I would have the ped do it, I know some offer the service.
Another thing to consider is how your child will be with them a year or two from now. My brother and SIL had my niece's ears pierced when she was around 12 months old and a few months later, she had figured out how to take her earrings out. She wouldn't leave earrings in. She's now 3 and her holes have long since closed.
Mine were pierced at 3, almost 4 years old. I remember thinking it hurt but being so proud and thinking everyone must be noticing my new earrings. I figure it made such a lasting positive memory for me, I would like to share that with my daughter when and if she chooses.
