My 6 month old will take one bite, make an "I hate the taste face" and then not open up again.
Here is the back story for the details -
5 weeks ago I introduced oatmeal and she seemed to love it. I gave her oatmeal for 3 days, once a day. This lead to her not pooping for a few days and having some very fussy nights that I related to being constipated. So I laid off the oatmeal for about 2 - 3 days. When she finally went it was explosive! When I reintroduced it she wouldn't take it! So I added some banana, which she seemed to like, but then after 1 day of eating she stopped pooping and seemed very uncomfortable again at night. So I stopped for a week and then introduced rice cereal instead as it is suppose to be easier to digest. She did not like rice cereal at all. I did try to give it to her for about 3 days, she rejected it each time! So again, I laid off of solids for almost 2 weeks.
So I just reintroduced oatmeal adding in some apples - thinking maybe it is the flavors. She took one bite and made the worst sour face and would not eat anymore of it (3 days ago). So I let it be. Yesterday I tried again, oatmeal and apples. One bite, sour face and then no more. So today I tried oatmeal and pears - same thing.
1. Is she just not ready?
2. WAS she ready but the initial bouts of constipation turned her off of food?
