Follow up to mkc's post about newfangled pregnancy tests

So OBVIOUSLY I got one. They come in two or three-packs. $20 I forked over even though I already know I'm pg. Because I'm a whackjob.

First, let me just say that was the first ever digi HPT I used. Super cool, I must say.

Secondly, it "correctly" displayed that I am 2-3 weeks past O (I don't know exactly when I O'ed but I know at the very latest it was 8/21.) So this gave me a nice little reassurance to see that my hcg is where the test thinks it should be for the 4-5 weeks pregnant that I am.

That being said, why I REALLY got it was to see if in a week, it then moves to 3+, so I know that my hcg is increasing appropriately (or how the test thinks is appropriate). So I have now made myself semi nervous for THAT. Could I not use it? Probably, but honestly I can't help myself I am so freaking insane. My appointment isn't until 9/23 and I feel like I can't just do nothing for 2+ weeks so this is me doing "something."

So a mixed review for now I would say. Nice and reassured today but also nervous for next week. Then apparently they don't tell you after you get past 3+, so once you get to 5 weeks pregnant they are pretty useless because that's as high as the test goes. The more I think about it, the more I think this was a bad idea.
