The Reveal

DH and I are TTC baby #2 and I've been trying to think of creative ways to tell him the news when I find out I am preggo again.

I thought about ordering custom fortune cookies and swapping them with our take-out one night, but that seems overly complicated.

We already said we would tell our family by putting a "Big Sister" t-shirt on our daughter at a family gathering, so that idea is out for telling him.

What are some fun ways you've told your other-half the news? Or what are your creative plans for doing so in the future?

With Basil, we took the test together and I knew I was pregnant at least a week before, so there was no reveal. This time, I plan to get this onesie that says "Rock Me Mama Like a Wagon Wheel" on it (we're huge Old Crow Medicine Show fans) and giving it to him with the BFP stick wrapped up in it. For the grandparents (who live in another state) we plan to get a Big Sister shirt for DD and have her wear it when making a skype call with them to see how long it takes them to notice. I'll probably also post a picture of her in the shirt on FB to see who notices. Haha!

We have always tested together so no big reveals here.  I put a big brother shirt on our mutt to tell IL's about DD.  I did something related to Christmas to tell my parents since it was that time of year.  What about giving him one of those tiny pumpkin gourds with the word Daddy written on it since it is that time of year?

This will be me.  I'm not into "reveals."

I'm not normally, either. And I didn't do anything exciting with DD. But when we thought I might have been pregnant a few months ago, I bought a test and told him I was going to take it.  To which he responded "what, you're not going to be creative in how you tell me?"  lol.. SO I figure I should do something to surprise him this go-around.

I am totally going with this for number two. When DH proposed it was totally unexpected and out of the blue. My response was "Holy shit....and yes I will marry you". We still both laugh about it.

Why can't you do the big sister shirt?  I did a Big Brother shirt to tell DH and our families (at separate times, obviously).  And for our facebook announcement, now that I think about it.

H and I aren't really into the cutesy reveal stuff either, so I'll probably just show him the stick and say "I'm pregnant".  Everyone else, we'll just call.

Thanks all! I think I've decided on taking a picture of the test and making it the desktop background on our laptop. DH is always on the laptop at some point in the evening, so he's guaranteed to see it. And if he takes forever, I'll just ask him to look something up for me lol

Either that or have our DD bring him a piece of paper that says "I'm getting promoted"
