OPK's

Just wondering how many days you can get positive OPK's.

I went in for Cycle Monitoring starting CD10 and on CD14 I had a 20mm follicle and my blood work showed that I was starting an LH surge.

I took OPK's on CD16 and CD17, just to see what they had to say because I have about a million to use up.  And they were all positive.

Now I'm wondering why they would be positive 2 and 3 days after my LH surge was starting.

I've never gotten a positive before so I'm just curious on how that works and what it all means.

Thanks!

Re: OPK's

  • Yes. It could be on the tail end of the surge. Temp shift is the only way to confirm ovulation.

  • I've had multiple +opk's in a cycle before. Usually 2-3 positives. The surge begins when you first test +.
