Please tell me I'm not alone

DS (almost 21 mos) is obsessed with his butt hole.  Whenever his diaper his off, his wandering fingers go straight there.  Why can't he be infatuated with his penis like a normal kid??

Also, his second favorite thing to do is hide, go poop, then stick his thumb in up the leg of his shorts and into his diaper, then runs to me with his brown thumb.  

I asked my BMB, and none of the other toddlers his age did this.

No help here, but I have a friend who's daughter would wake up from naps and "paint" with her poop.

Sounds like he is ready to start potty training, if you haven't already.

He hasn't shown too much interest in potty training.  We have a potty for him and he likes to disassemble it and wear the cup on his head  I don't really want to push it until I know he's ready, YKWIM?
