Hi ladies

I have been active on ifv and paif, pal for quite a while and now I am blessed to be here. My miracle baby arrived on 8/30 at 35 weeks with iugr, my placenta just plain quite and I was having a continuing abruption. My little girl was 3.10 and now is 3.7.

Her big issues are not being able to take more than 20ml by bottle and gaining weight. She has breastfeeding figured out but my milk hasn't come in yet. She just got off the lights and Iv.

Now for the ?

The nurses said they really like the Chico key fit and I really don't like it also its long for my car seat I have a truck and had planned on a britax convertible seat. What carseats do you recommend the seat where the carseat goes is a bench style. Also I have a bad back so will never take the seat out of the car. They think she will be 4 or maybe but doubtful 4.5 when released in a month or so but they told me I need to get the carseat soon because they do a bunch of tests here.

I hope if you are in the nicu presently your stays are short!

Congrats on your LO. We had the Britax B-safe and really liked it.  It's rated 4-30 pounds and up to 32 inches.  We used it until DS was about 16 months and only switched since I thought he'd be more comfortable a little more upright in a convertible. We had bases in my Highlander and my husbands toyota tacoma truck.  It was tighter in fit in my husband's truck but he was still able to easily take it in and out of the base. I went back and forth between it and the keyfit, but the Britax had an excellent crash test rating vs good for the keyfit so we went with the britax.  I'm glad we did since I was in two accidents with it (neither my fault)!

My sister was in the nicu for months so I know the nicu well. However I am finding that the nurses have major control issues and that each one tells me something different which irritates me finally yesterday I laid down the law. Also because my baby was under the lights and temp controlled I barely got to hold her which was upsetting but I remind myself that she needs that so that I can take her home. You have to find a routine it helps.
