Chase is 2! Life update!

Well August 27th as come and gone and I now have a 2 year. Still cannot believe it. My little 4lb miracle baby is now a 28 pound toddler!

Birthday party was great. We stuck to just mostly family. We did Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Thanks to my MIL I now have a pirate ship in my living room. Chase loves it so it has stayed up for two weeks now. I had to open all of his presents for him after the first one because once he saw the plane he got(from the new movie Planes) that was all she wrote. Wanted nothing to do with the cake. Guess he still remembers the nightmare of getting it in his eyes last year.

2 year doctor's appointment went well. Chase is in the 61% for height and weight and 72% for head cir. Doctor said he is truly amazed at how well he has grown. Tubes are still in but the right one is getting closer to falling out. After 4 vision screens, we are all clear. Doctor has us monitoring his speech and hearing for the next 2 months. He thinks Chase is borderline on his speech but said for some reason most kids speech takes off in the first two months after their 2nd birthday. He gave us some guidelines and told us that if he hadn't met most of those by November 1st then he would recommend us to a Speech Path.

Our latest obsessions are the movies Cars and Cars 2, toy cars and planes, and making every animal sound we know.

Life for us has been crazy. Brother still hasn't been found. Its been three months. Both the mothers of his children are now refusing to let us see the kids until he can be found. I hate it because we are being punished for my brother being an idiot. Both of my parents had to have test done this morning at the same time to rule out cancer. Yep, both of them!! Both had routine tests come back with spots. Thankfully my mom's has come back all clear as of 10 minutes ago. Dad is supposed to have results by 5. Crossing my fingers his comes back ok too. Anxiously awaiting Friday because we are getting new bedroom furniture!!! Finally I will have the king size bed I have always wanted! We have been on the same queen mattress for 10 years and it has so many permanent body dents. I can't wait for the new bed.
