RNP Question

So I registered for this https://www.buybuybaby.com/store/giftregistry/view_registry_owner.jsp?sorting=1&pwsToken=&eventType=Baby&registryId=10652429&pwsurl=&view=3 thinking it was the lifesaver that all you experts talk about.

But then I saw this online https://www.buybuybaby.com/store/product/Fisher-Price-reg-Rock-n-Play-Portable-Bassinet/1040811116?categoryId=32007.  Is that the one I need?

Option 1 or Option 2?  Thanks!

  • No personal experience here, but I do know that option #2 is really new, and therefore I think that most people are talking about option #1.

  • I can't see option 1 either. You accessed it through your registery, so unless I'm in your registery, I can't see it.  But the one posted by babywillmake3 is exactly the type you should get.  Flat can be achieved anywhere, the beauty of the RNP is the angled surface.  Great for reflux, easing breathing with colds, etc.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

  • This is the kind most of us have.  It's on an incline.

Yep - go with this one - the magic (in my opinion) is in the incline and "hugged" feeling it gives with the close sides.

  • I have both. The inclined one is the one everyone loves. We still use it for my son's reflux sometimes (pediatrician said it's ok). We used the flat one to help transition DD to sleeping flat. It's handy because it fits in the space next to my bed. But it's basically just a bassinet.

  • It would be brilliant if they would make one that had the option of laying flat or being inclined with different angles in between. It would really help parents transition to crib sleeping if you could slowly lower the amount of the incline over the span of a week or so. Maybe I need to make one of these, I could make a killing!
