S/o fall boots

As I said before, I'm intimidated by them. School me. How skinny do the jeans need to be to pair with them? I have some that I got at goodwill that basically just shrunk at the bottom, so they taper a lot, but aren't skinny jeans. I usually just roll them and pair with flip flops. Can I shove them into boots? Can someone direct me to some affordable boots? I cannot afford $100 shoes, fo sho. I like the ones you posted, Andrea, do they sell them in the store or online only? Feel free to mock me for this post, but please be gentle. I am not cool...of this I am fully aware.

Re: S/o fall boots

  • I tightroll my jeans at the bottom to stay inside the boots. I think I bought mine from O.co a while back for around $40, because I'm cheap. I like having brown boots for fall, but I also have black ankle boots I rock out some times.

  • FWIW, I wear jeggings with boots, they are a tight fit and stay down. I prefer a super tight look with boots, though, I hate the "muffin top" look with boots- it just makes legs look stocky.
    Levi's jeggings are the bomb.com.

I'm ordering boots from Simple Be. They offer different calf widths and have a lot of cute options. If anybody's interested use code 5223 for 30% off you first order.

FYI their stuff ships from the UK and they only offer standard shipping, so it takes a couple weeks to receive your order.

  • Has Old Navy lengthened their jeans? Because I was never able to shop there for jeans, because they weren't long enough.

  • OMG all these Frye boots are amazing! But I just bought flat brown boots last year. Stop tempting me!

  • On the other hand, mine are more of a dark chocolate brown, and don't have the chunky heel so they're not thaaaat similar... Hmmmm.

You might have to get them online in longer sizes. Or just tuck them into jeans and not worry about the length. ;-)

    Good idea. Talk about FWP.

  • @spooko check out the link I posted above. I also have issues finding boots that fit my calves, but this site has lots of options.

  • @Spooko I hear you on the "muscular" calves.  Plus I wear children's size shoes so I have to order from one online place and they never fit right.  Plus, I'm also munchkin short so jeans are always too long for me.  I can't buy kids because although I have kid height, I have, er, womanly "curves."  (i.e. fat ass, hips and thighs)

  • All these fall clothes/boots posts have inspired me to kick up my workouts. I want to go shopping, but I don't want to buy stuff in my current size.

Thanks for this. I've been in a shopping spiral for the last 2 hours. I want almost everything on this site.
  • Thanks for all the tips and links. I really am just not stylish, this will be huge for me if I can incorporate boots and skinny jeans into my wardrobe.
