Positive Thoughts Please

I don't post here very often, but I could use some positive thoughts and prayers.

We are expecting LO3 any time now. I am about 38 weeks pregnant. I had cramping on and off throughout the day Monday. My water broke as I went to bed. And since then...nothing. Okay, a few random barely noticeable contractions here and there. 

But I am so over this waiting game. I can't go anywhere (my MW wants me to stay at home to avoid germs. totally understandable and fine by me). I am over the constant leaking. And yes, the longer this goes on, the more I worry about infection despite the fact that I will have no vaginal exams. 

So all good thoughts about baby coming sooner rather than later would be appreciated!

I am sending positive thoughts your way!  Can you try walking or nipple stimulation to get something going?  I really hope things get going soon.  Keep us updated!

ETA:  Do you have anyone to help take care of your LOs?  I remember a post here where many woman side that their labors would stall out during the day when they were focused on their other babies but pick up at night.  Just a though but maybe knowing that your LOs are taken care of by a family member or friend will help you relax and get things going.

 Thankfully, we do have someone here to watch J. and A. She came over as soon as my water broke. Hopefully, she can stay through tonight as well. I have also been walking up a storm. At this rate, I'll be back to pre-pregnancy weight before LO even gets here!

Nipple stimulation is probably next up for tricks to try. I'm going to go for a walk before it gets hotter; hopefully that does the trick!

ETA:  I agree with nipple stimulation.  You can also try pumping if you have a breast pump.  And consider bouncing on a yoga ball.  The day I went in labor with DS2 I walked a total of 4 miles, bounced on my yoga ball for like 2 hours and had sex.  Not sure which of the three or if it was the whole combo that caused labor to start!

Agree...my water broke and I wasn't progressing into active labor and using my breast pump for 1 hour on a low level as recommended by my midwife actually helped get things going and had baby in my arms 4 hours after I did the pump.

Oh gosh, I feel your pain!  Something very similar happened with my first birth, my water broke and then no contractions whatsoever for days.  I ended up agreeing to meds to get things started around the 72 hour mark (past rupture) and then made it through the rest of labor with no further interventions.  It's so anti-climactic...like, yay!  my water broke, I'm in labor!  And then...nothing.
