Sick LO wwyd?

So over the weekend Mira developed a low fever which spiked to 103 yesterday morning. We brought her to urgent care where they did a strep test but it was negative. However they've had a ton of positives from kids that attend the daycare she was at last week. They gave her amoxicllin. She's had 2 doses of it but her temp is still going up to 102 when it gets to be time for another dose of tyenol or Motrin. We don't have a pedi here yet so should I bring her to someone else or give the antibiotic more time to work?

Also she only wants me. The problem is that I missed work yesterday and am most likely going to miss today. DH doesn't have a job yet so he's home with her but she freaked out when I tried handing her off. He's worried my work will be mad since I'm new. I just feel like I can't leave her crying with him when she's sick.

I would also give it another day to give the meds some time to work.  And I know it is hard, but I would probably go ahead and let DH take care of her today.  I am sure he will do great, and once you are outside of the house, she will probably do fine with him.  If she became inconsolable, he could always call you at work and you could leave then.  I hope she feels better soon!

Thanks everyone! I ended up leaving her with dad and am at work. We are in the process of changing health insurance so once I have a member is number I'll be calling pedis. DH just called and said her temp is back up to 102 and she's been crying and whining saying momma. He doesn't want me to leave work but I just want to go home and comfort her. I'll probably try to stick it out here at work and maybe leave an hour early.
