Belly binder recs?

I have heard such wonderful things about the belly binder but would love to know which brand I should by and if it's recommended to wait until after I deliver? My cousin bought a really expensive belly bandit and it's too small so she has to return it and get a new one... she's already 3 days post delivery and won't have it for a few more days. I don't want to run into this issue...

Also, i've read that some hospitals will give you one but I don't know if my hospital does this.

Thoughts?

  • Ask your OB at your next appt. My OB ordered one to be ready for me in the recovery room.

  • The hospital put me in one right away. I was very swollen from the surgery but after 8 days I was fitting into the Squeem I purchased and the one from the hospital became too big and bulky. I'm happy with my Squeem because its not bulky and doesn't bunch up. You also can barely see it under a tight tank top so it's not visible under a sweater or a shirt with a thicker texture.

  • My doctor ordered it also so check with your dr before spending money.!
  • Dr put me in one on operating table.
  • My OB gave me one in the hospital, but I'm short so it was uncomfortable. I bought a belly bandit but their sizing was ridiculously off and it didn't seem worth it. I ended up going with a binder from Babies R Us brand. It was super comfy and like $30. Which is good bc after a few weeks you'll need a smaller size.

  • I had this one and it was amazing! My discharge nurse was even so impressed with my recovery that she wanted to know what kind it was.
