I went back to work TODAY and of course my little guy decided to go through a growth spurt (or something) this week...or maybe he just misses his mama

For weeks and weeks he's only gotten up once at night to eat and the night before last it was 3 times, last night was twice and then an early wake up. Go to sleep kid!
But for my question...we do CIO and he's getting the hang of falling asleep, but the last few nights he'll wake up after 45 minutes or 1 1/2 hours and cry and unable to settle. I have to nurse him for literally 20-30 seconds just to calm him down and he's passed back out. The milk doesn't even flow. We don't use a paci.
Anyone else's LO do this?

Re: What gives? (wake ups at night)
could be a number of things
-teething
-some babies awaken more frequently when mom goes back to work and their in the care of someone else
-awareness of you being GONE, and waking up and wanting mom.
my LO never awoke while teething, and i'm a SAHM so I haven't experienced separation anxiety-however around 6 months she began waking up and night and needing comfort, and after 1 night of letting her cry herself to sleep (she never "needed" to be rocked to sleep but was more demanding of it since 6 months) she didn't wake up after that.
