So...we just returned from a weekend with DH's family. After going to the bathroom this afternoon, I wiped and there was bright red blood on the toilet paper. I had just started feeling a great amount of movement this morning and was beside myself that something may have happened to our little girl. It was more than what I would consider "spotting" so I called the OB. He said I could wait to come in for my regular appointment tomorrow, but I just couldn't wait that long. We went to the ER.
Thank GOD the bleeding stopped and we heard the heartbeat right away (only the time it took to get to the hospital, get triaged and find that heartbeat felt like forever) and the OB can't find anything wrong but they will look again in the morning.
I know DH thinks I overreacted but the nurse said we did the right thing coming in if it would put our minds at ease. I can't even tell you the thoughts that were running through my head in that hour and a half before we heard her heartbeat.
What an awful experience. I'm posting this so some of you have a little more peace of mind if you have a little bleeding. I'm now emotionally exhausted and my eyes hurt from crying but I am just glad everything is okay, and I only have to wait until tomorrow to be seen again.
Ugh. Why did I think pregnancy would be so easy? I worry about everything! And I was just starting to think I was past my PgAL brain. I guess I won't get rid of that feeling til she arrives.
Re: BIG scare but everything is fine, apparently (m/c mentioned)

DD 2016 ❤
Glad to hear that everything is ok. And I would have done the same thing then you, I would have gone straight in to see a doctor as well.
At 22 weeks, I still check for blood everytime I visit the lady's room (even though I feel mouvement too) Yes, that pgal brain is still lurking.
I had our level two ultrasound Friday, and that night I wiped and saw bright red blood. Spotted the rest of the night
my OB said she wasn't concerned unless it got worse or I had cramps, and just rest up. My next appt isn't until Tuesday, but thankfully I still feel my little guy moving around in there!
Scary stuff
Glad all is well
