IVF Cycle #1: Cancelled

Awesome. I don't even understand why despite the numerous questions I had for the nurse who broke the news. Apparently, after 2 weeks on BCP, a) I started my period too late, b) my lining was still too thick (?!?!?!), and c) I had fluid in my uterus. 

I never got a clear explanation as to why the cycle was cancelled but whatever. So I start BCP next week again. 

Does this get easier? Please? someone tell me this gets easier.

With the mega dollars you are paying I would get that darn nurse on the phone and pump her with questions until you are crystal clear on everything and then some (just my opinion)

I'm so so sorry JP... Do you have a new date?  I sure hope it gets easier. I am so sorry.  I wish I could say/do something to make you feel better. ((HUGS))

Trust me, I drilled that nurse and she kept on saying "that's all the info I got from the dr." So I gave up. From what I'm reading though, a baseline u/s last week showed a tiny cyst. I'm assuming the fluid may be because it may have burst. So course of action is...do nothing for a week, let it pass. Next week, I get another u/s and bloodwork, and if all looks ok, I start all over again with 11 days of BCP. 

Thanks for the good thoughts and hugs. I'm learning that IVF can be SUCH a lonely and scary place to be.

Ugh! I so sorry to hear this. I can't imagine how frustrating this is for you. I hope next cycle is much easier!

So sorry to hear you were cancelled. I hope your doctor can give you more information soon. For me, I know that in the long run a few weeks won't make too much of a difference, but it seems like such a long time when you are waiting and hoping. Good luck at your next appt!
