We are having our new water meter installed today (against our will) and I'm stuck here waiting for the guy to get here. It's one of those situations where they give you a 4 hour window and say they will be here between 8 and noon. We supposedly have the first appointment of the day so I was hoping he would be here and gone before DD's nap. It just irritates me that they can give a 4 hour window. Can they really not just make and keep a schedule like everyone else? Sorry, had to get that off my chest lol.

What a bummer! I hate doing stuff like that. Although lately most places I've dealt with seem to have shortened the window to 2 hours.

Yep, the 4 hour window is a PITA.  We always seem to be the last stop at the 4 hour mark, so even though they start the job within the window, I end up sitting around for an extra hour or two while they complete it also.

When MIL had DDs crib sent to the house before she was born, Sears gave us a 4 hour window in which it would arrive, then it never did. It came the next day. The delivery guy got an earful for making me waste a whole day and have to re-arrange my schedule to fit his mistake.
