What will your first drink be?

So call me an alcoholic (my sister does). But I've been putting a lot of thought into what my first drink will be. Right now in happy that January is the season of dark beers and I'm gonna be having a nice dark brown microbrew (cabin fever to be specific)

Margaritas are my favorite but I feel like that would be weird in Jan so I'll probably have champagne on Valentine's day, or a nice big glass of merlot at home, for my first drink.

Mine will be a glass of white wine. We got a bottle of the same wine I had after ds as a gift shortly after finding out we were expecting this time so Ill be drinking the same thing again which is kinda fun for this mom who wants a glass so bad. Ill be putting it in to chill around 39 weeks in hopeful anticipation.

One of our red napa valley wines that I got from a trip. I love wine!!!! I did have a sip of pumpkin beer with sugared rim tonight while at dinner. Oh my, delish!

I'm going to have DH save me some Sam Adams Octoberfest and Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat.  Fall beer is my fav!  Then some wine of course.  Okay, lots of wine.

Definitely a dark beer. Last time I had a scare 2-3 weeks before my due date (they thought I had pre-e, it was just stress). But in my panic I bought myself a beer to rest in the fridge. hahah! I am already planning on what beer I want here.

WHAT?? I like Blue Moon a lot and this Caramel Apple sounds like something I would enjoy.

Baileys in hot chocolate sounds incredible and so does a nice glass of Pinot Noir. In the beginning, the thought of alcohol made me queasy. Now, I'm seriously missing a glass of wine after a stressful day. Counting down...

Yes!!! It's in their Autumn Sampler Pack. It's a caramel apple spiced ale. Their harvest pumpkin, Belgian white and Belgian pale ale all come in the sampler.

I definitely will have stockpiled a Dogfish Head Punkin Ale and a 2013 Anchor Christmas, which I look forward to every year. Right now all I want is a margarita (rocks, salt!), but come January, beer, champagne or a hot toddy will do the trick (or, if I'm being honest, just a nice pour of bourbon with a twist. The hot water is just to make me feel like less of a booze hound.).

Well, definitely something with liquor in it....Love me some screwdrivers! But I'm also one of those who still have an occasional glass of wine throughout my pregnancy. About once a week I'll have one if I am out at a social gathering. Never at home though...not worth opening a bottle for something I won't finish.

I keep picturing myself finding the biggest wine glass in my home, filling it to the brim with Pinot Noir, and just drinking it like Gatorade. Then falling asleep, waking up, wishing I hadn't, then go another 9 months with no wine while I breastfeed. Ha.

Champagne.....we celebrate everything good in our lives with champagne. We always break out our wedding flutes and dh and I share the bottle of Asti. Can't wait!
